What is

GHK-Cu

GHK-Cu (Glycyl-L-Histidyl-L-Lysine-Copper) is a naturally occurring tripeptide found in human plasma, saliva, and urine. When bound to copper (II) ions, it forms a bioactive complex that plays a key role in tissue regeneration, inflammation control, and cellular repair.

Clinically, GHK-Cu has been shown to:

  • Stimulate collagen and glycosaminoglycan synthesis in skin fibroblasts

  • Promote angiogenesis (new blood vessel formation)

  • Attract immune cells to accelerate wound healing

  • Provide antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects

  • Modulate gene expression to reverse cells to a healthier, more youthful state

Its cosmetic and therapeutic uses span anti-aging skincare, scar reduction, wound healing, and hair regrowth. GHK-Cu is available in multiple forms — injectable vial, topical cream, and hair/scalp solution — for targeted benefits.

Benefits

  • Accelerates wound healing and tissue repair

  • Stimulates collagen and elastin production for firmer skin

  • Reduces fine lines, wrinkles, and skin discoloration

  • Supports hair follicle health and promotes new growth

  • Provides potent antioxidant protection against environmental damage

  • Improves skin elasticity and hydration

Protocols

Content & Potency:

  • Vial: 10 mg and 50mg lyophilized peptide

  • Cream: 50 ml bottle

  • Hair Solution: 30 ml bottle

    • Injectable Vials:

      50mg/vial:

      •  Suggested Dose: Begin with 1-2 mg (0.06-0.12 ml or 6-12 units) subcutaneously 3x weekly. Increase to 2.5 mg (0.15 mL or 15 units) subcutaneously 3x weekly once tolerated.

      10mg/vial:

      •  Suggested Dose: Begin with 1-2 mg (0.20-0.40ml or 20-40 units) subcutaneously 3x weekly. Increase to 2.5 mg (0.50mL or 50 units) subcutaneously 3x weekly once tolerated.

    • Cream: Apply thinly to clean skin once or twice daily on face, neck, or target areas

    • Hair Solution: Apply directly to scalp once daily; massage gently into hair follicles

Dosing and application frequency may vary based on condition severity, treatment goals, and medical guidance.

  • Avoid use on infected or open wounds unless under medical supervision

  • Discontinue if irritation or allergic reaction occurs

  • Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult a healthcare provider before use

  • Clean skin or scalp prior to application to ensure absorption

  • For injectable use, require sterile reconstitution and administration by a trained professional

  • Consistent use for 8–12 weeks for visible results

Procedure

Reconstitution

GHK-Cu 50mg/vial:

  • Draw 3 ml of sterile water for injection into a syringe.
  • Inject the sterile water into a vial containing 50 mg of GHK-Cu peptide.
  • Gently swirl the vial until the peptide is fully dissolved.

GHK-Cu 10mg/vial:

  • Draw 2 ml of sterile water for injection into a syringe.
  • Inject the sterile water into a vial containing 10 mg of GHK-Cu peptide.
  • Gently swirl the vial until the peptide is fully dissolved.

Injectable Form: Administer subcutaneously in targeted areas or use via microneedling delivery for skin rejuvenation

Cream: Apply to clean, dry skin once or twice daily

Hair Solution: Apply directly to scalp, massaging gently for even distribution

Vial: Refrigerate reconstituted solution at 2–8°C, use within the prescribed time frame

Cream & Hair Solution: Store at room temperature away from direct sunlight

Keep all forms out of reach of children

Clinical Research

Study:

Effects of GHK-Cu on Gene Expression and Skin Regeneration

Source:

BioMed Research International, 2018

Results:

GHK-Cu restored gene expression in aging cells to a youthful profile, stimulated collagen production by up to 70%, and accelerated wound healing in human skin models. Demonstrated improvement in hair follicle size and activity in scalp applications.
