Epithalon (also known as Epitalon or Epithalamin) is a synthetic peptide that is composed of four amino acids: Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly. It was originally isolated from the pineal gland of cattle, but the synthetic form is now used for research and potential therapeutic applications.
Epithalon works by stimulating the production of telomerase, an enzyme that helps to maintain the length of telomeres – the protective caps on the ends of our chromosomes. Telomeres naturally shorten as we age, which can lead to cellular damage and aging-related diseases. By stimulating telomerase production, epithalon may help to slow down the aging process and improve overall health and longevity.
In addition to its potential anti-aging effects, epithalon has also been studied for its potential therapeutic applications in the treatment of certain medical conditions, such as cancer and metabolic disorders. Some studies have shown that epithalon may have anti-tumor effects and may help to improve glucose metabolism and insulin sensitivity.
*Provided as a standard protocol, dose may vary depending on the condition of the patient.
*The dosage of Epithalon may be adjusted based on the individual’s response, medical history, and specific treatment goals.
Epithalon (also known as Epitalon or AEDG) is a synthetic tetrapeptide composed of the amino acids alanine, glutamic acid, aspartic acid, and glycine. It has been studied extensively for its potential anti-aging and longevity benefits. Developed in the 1980s by Professor Vladimir Khavinson at the St. Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology, Epithalon has shown promise in various clinical settings.
Epithalon upregulates telomerase activity, an enzyme that maintains and elongates telomeres—the protective caps at the ends of chromosomes. By preventing telomere shortening, Epithalon helps in maintaining the integrity of DNA during cell division, thus playing a crucial role in delaying the aging process and enhancing cellular longevity.
Epithalon is generally well-tolerated with a favorable safety profile. Reported side effects are minimal and include mild injection site reactions. There is no significant evidence of toxicity, making Epithalon a promising candidate for anti-aging therapies.
The developmental potential of oocytes decreases with time after ovulation in vivo or in vitro. Epitalon is a synthetic short peptide made of four amino acids (alanine, glutamic acid, aspartic acid, and glycine), based on a natural peptide called epithalamion extracted from the pineal gland. It is a potent antioxidant, comparable to melatonin, that may […]
