What is

Dihexa

DIHEXA (also known as N-hexanoic-Tyr-Ile-(6) aminohexanoic amide) is a synthetic peptide that was originally developed as a potential treatment for Alzheimer’s disease. It is a small molecule that has been shown to cross the blood-brain barrier and bind to certain receptors in the brain that are involved in the growth and survival of neurons.

DIHEXA has been studied for its potential neuroprotective effects, particularly in the treatment of neurodegenerative disorders like Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and Huntington’s disease. In animal studies, DIHEXA has been shown to improve cognitive function, reduce beta-amyloid accumulation (a hallmark of Alzheimer’s disease), and protect neurons from oxidative stress and cell death.

Dihexa has also been called a “neurogenic wonder-drug” and the peptide can be ten million times stronger than BDNF (Brain-derived neurotrophic factor), one of the leading medications for new synapse formation. If you’re someone looking to enhance your mental stamina and improve your memory overall, Dihexa may be your solution to dramatically improving cognitive function.

Benefits

  • Improve heart health
  • Manage depression
  • Boost mental endurance
  • Increase mental stamina
  • Improve focus and learning
  • Improve problem-solving skills
  • Improve general long and short-term memory
  • Enhance creative thinking and social intuition and conversational skills
  • Help people who have Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) and Parkinson’s Disease (PD)

Protocols

Provided as 10 mg/capsule, 30 capsules per bottle

  • Initiation: Dihexa therapy is initiated to enhance cognitive function, promote neurogenesis, and support overall brain health by modulating neurotrophic factors.
  • Initial Dose: Begin with 10 mg (1 capsule) orally once daily for the first two weeks to assess tolerance and minimize potential side effects.
  • Titration: If well tolerated, increase the dose to 20 mg (2 capsules) orally once daily after the initial two-week period.
  • Maintenance: Maintain the dose at 10 mg (1 capsule) orally once daily for ongoing support in cognitive function and neuroprotection.
  • Duration: Dihexa is administered daily.
  • Weeks 1-2: 10 mg (1 capsule) of Dihexa once daily
  • Week 3 and onwards: 10 mg – 20 mg (1-2 capsules) of Dihexa once daily

*Provided as a standard protocol, dose may vary depending on the condition of the patient.
*The dosage of Dihexa may be adjusted based on the individual’s response, medical history, and specific treatment goals.

  • Known hypersensitivity to Dihexa or any component of the formulation.
  • Not recommended for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless specifically advised by a healthcare provider.
  • Patients with severe psychiatric conditions should consult with their healthcare provider before starting this treatment.
  • Avoid taking other supplements or medications that might interact with Dihexa without professional advice.

  • Regular monitoring of cognitive function and overall brain health to assess the effectiveness of the treatment.
  • Periodic assessments to check for any adverse effects and to adjust the treatment as necessary.
  • Consultation with a healthcare professional before starting Dihexa to ensure it is appropriate for the patient’s health condition.
  • Patients should maintain a healthy lifestyle, including proper diet and exercise, to support the effectiveness of the treatment

Procedure

  • Take 1 capsule (10 mg) of Dihexa orally once daily.
  • It is recommended to take the capsule with water and preferably at the same time each day to maintain consistent blood levels of the supplement.
  • Do not exceed the recommended dosage unless advised by a healthcare provider.

  • Store the bottle of Dihexa capsules in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  • Ensure the bottle is tightly sealed to maintain the integrity of the capsules.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Monitor for any unusual symptoms and report them to a healthcare provider immediately.

Clinical Research

Study:

Dihexa Oral Peptide for Cognitive Enhancement and Neuroprotection

Source:

MDPI, Alzheimer's Drug Discovery Foundation, GeneMedics

Results:

Dihexa, an orally active peptide derived from angiotensin IV, has been extensively researched for its potential in enhancing cognitive function and providing neuroprotection. It crosses the blood-brain barrier, making it effective for treating neurodegenerative diseases.

Dihexa functions by activating the hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) receptor c-Met. This activation stimulates neurogenesis, synaptogenesis, and dendritic spine formation, which are crucial for cognitive functions and brain plasticity. Additionally, Dihexa reduces inflammation and oxidative stress, providing protection against neuronal damage.

Dihexa is generally well-tolerated, with minimal side effects. Common side effects include mild gastrointestinal disturbances. Long-term safety data is still being gathered, but current research supports its safe use for cognitive and neuroprotective purposes.

Cognitive benefits of angiotensin IV and angiotensin-(1–7): A systematic review of experimental studies

Of 450 articles identified, 32 met inclusion criteria. Seven of 11 studies of normal animals found Ang IV had beneficial effects on tests of passive or conditioned avoidance and object recognition. In models of cognitive deficit, eight of nine studies found Ang IV and its analogs (Nle1-Ang IV, dihexa, LVV-hemorphin-7) improved performance on spatial working […]

AngIV-Analog Dihexa Rescues Cognitive Impairment and Recovers Memory in the APP/PS1 Mouse via the PI3K/AKT Signaling Pathway

The renin-angiotensin system (RAS) is a paracrine RAS within the central nervous system (CNS) and is closely related to Alzheimer’s disease (AD). The endogenous hexapeptide angiotensin IV (Ang IV), an important component of the brain RAS, was found to rescue cognitive impairment and recover memory in previous studies.
