What is

DSIP

Protocols

Provided as a 5mg lyophilized vial

  • Initiation: DSIP therapy is initiated to support sleep regulation, reduce sleep disturbances, and enhance overall sleep quality by modulating sleep-inducing mechanisms.
  • Initial Dose: Begin with 250 mcg (0.1 ml or 10 units) subcutaneously once daily (hs – 2-12 hours before bedtime) for the first two weeks to assess tolerance and minimize potential side effects.
  • Titration: If well tolerated, increase the dose to 500 mcg (0.2 ml or 20 units) subcutaneously once daily (hs – 2-12 hours before bedtime) after the initial two-week period.
  • Maintenance: Maintain the dose at 250-500 mcg (0.1-0.2 ml or 10-20 units) subcutaneously once daily for ongoing support in sleep regulation and quality improvement.
  • Duration: DSIP is administered daily.
  • Weeks 1-2: 250 mcg (0.1 ml or 10 units) of DSIP once daily (hs – 2-12 hours before bedtime)
  • Week 3 and onwards: 250-500 mcg (0.1-0.2 ml or 10-20 units) of DSIP once daily (hs – 2-12 hours before bedtime)

Procedure

Reconstitution

  • Draw 2 ml of sterile water for injection into a syringe.
  • Inject the sterile water into a vial containing 5 mg of DSIP peptide.
  • Gently swirl the vial until the peptide is fully dissolved.

  • Remove the cap from a tuberculin syringe.
  • Draw the reconstituted DSIP solution into the syringe to the required dosage (0.1 ml or 10 units initially, 0.2 ml or 20 units after titration).
  • Clean the selected injection site with an alcohol swab.
  • Pinch the sanitized skin and insert the needle at a 90-degree angle.
  • Administer the injection subcutaneously 2-12 hours before bedtime.

  • Store the remaining DSIP solution in the refrigerator at 2-8°C.
  • Before the next use, clean the vial top with an alcohol swab.
  • Use a new syringe for each administration.
  • Ensure to rotate injection sites (abdomen, thigh, or upper arm) to minimize skin irritation.

Delta Sleep-Inducing Peptide (DSIP) is a neuropeptide known for its potential to enhance sleep and manage withdrawal symptoms. DSIP is administered via injection, but research has demonstrated its wide range of benefits, including as a vial peptide for sleep induction and managing withdrawal from addictive substances.

DSIP works by influencing various physiological processes, including the modulation of the endocrine system and the central nervous system. It promotes sleep by inducing slow-wave sleep and regulating circadian rhythms. Additionally, DSIP modulates the activity of neurotransmitters such as serotonin, which play a critical role in sleep and mood regulation.

Clinical Benefits: Sleep Disorders: Clinical trials have demonstrated that DSIP effectively improves sleep quality and duration. In studies involving patients with chronic insomnia, DSIP administration resulted in longer sleep duration and higher sleep quality, with fewer interruptions and no significant daytime sedation.
